Learning Masters' Process
-
Analysis In preparation for all projects, we conduct needs analysis research to identify the:
- Knowledge, skills and attitudes required for top performance
- Subject matter that the target audience must master
- Environmental factors influencing job performance
Our multi-method analysis includes:
- Review of existing data/materials from the client
- Business literature reviews
- Structured in-person or phone interviews
- Focus groups
- 360-degree surveys
-
Design Following the needs analysis research, we develop a design document that serves as a “blueprint” for training. This involves:
- Identifying training outcomes and goals
- Writing learning objectives
- Specifying training content
- Sequencing instruction
- Developing learning methodology
- Creating experiential learning exercises
- Selecting appropriate media support
- Creating implementation strategies
- Creating evaluation strategies
During the design phase, we work closely with external or internal subject matter experts.
-
Development The design document specifies the deliverables that we develop. Deliverables may include:
- Curriculum Design
- Seminars
- Workshops
- Self-Instructional Modules
- Seminar Leader Guides
- Seminar Workbooks
- Flip Charts
- PowerPoint Presentations
- Video Scripts
- Videotapes
- DVDs
- Audio Scripts
- CD-ROMs
- Case Studies
- Experiential Learning Activities
- Job Aids
Our writers create drafts of the materials and review them with the client design team. Upon project completion, we deliver electronic files and masters or produce the materials as desired.
- Implementation Train-the-Trainer: For seminars and workshops we train your trainers to facilitate the training we develop. We assist in developing your training implementation plan.
-
Evaluation We use two types of evaluation related to training development — formative and summative.
Formative Evaluation: We work with you to review the project at every step of the training process to ensure that the training materials will meet your needs.
Summative Evaluation: We work with you to develop your evaluation strategy.
Level I - Reaction: How well did the participants like the training?
Level II - Knowledge: How well did the participants learn the material covered by the training?
Level III - Application: How well are the participants applying what they learned on the job?
Level IV - Business Results: Does applying the training on the job affect business results?
